Morning Arrival: Students arrive at school between 7:30 – 7:40 am. Elementary school children are outside and are supervised from 7:30 am until the start of school at 7:45 am.  They line up on the playground at 7:40 am and they are escorted to class by their teaching assistants.

Middle and high school students are supervised by teacher presence in the hallways and in classrooms from 7:30 to 7:45 am. Students should be ready and be in the respective class for their first period by 7:45 am.

Students arriving to campus after 7:50 am will be required to report to the office. After three unexcused late arrivals, the student’s parents will be notified. If students arrive on a bus and the bus is late due to traffic, this will be considered an excused late arrival.

Tuesday is a late start day, and students arrive at school at 8:30 am.

Elementary students have recess from 9:55 - 10:15 am. They usually spend it outdoors. Middle and high school’s morning break is from 8:55 to 9:10 am.

Elementary school’s lunchtime is from 12:15 to 1:00 pm. Lower elementary kids eat in the MPR (cafeteria area), and later have their recess time outdoors. Upper elementary children stay outdoors most of the time.

Middle and High school students have lunch from 11:35 - 12:10 pm. On Tuesdays classes begin an hour late, therefore MS/HS children have no morning recess, and lunchtime shifts to 11:10 - 11:50 am on these days.

Both ES and MS/HS students are supervised by teacher assistants and/or teachers during the recess and lunchtime.

Grade KG 1-5 students are escorted to the busses at the end of each school day at 2:15 pm. Buses leave by 2:30 pm. Students who take advantage of the school’s After-School Activity program leave school at 3:30 pm. Coaches and sponsors are responsible for all students until they are picked up from school.

Grades 6-12 students have to gather at the parking lot by 3:00 pm. Buses depart at 3:15 pm. If middle or high school students have after-school activities, they board the designated buses at 4:30 pm.

On school minimum days, all students leave at the same time. The departure time on these days is 11:30 am. Students who have a driver’s license, and parent permission to drive a car, may do so, but they are only allowed to transport direct family members.

In the event of severe weather (most likely sand storm), elementary students spend recess inside their classrooms. Teachers must be in their classrooms to receive students on those days. If the temperature is over 100 ℉ (38 ℃), all recess and R&R are indoors. Middle and high school students stay in the hallways, or in classrooms.
