This message is for parents who will have students attending KG1 or KG2 classes next school year. The school will operate a ‘soft start’ for children in these classes for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. The school will open for KG1 and KG2 children with a ‘meet and greet’ on Monday 26th August, with the first day of school for KG1 and KG2 beginning on the Tuesday 27th August. All other grade levels from Grade 1 and above will start their first day of school as listed, on Monday 26th August.
The ‘meet and greet’ session for KG1 and KG2 students on Monday 26th August will run from 11:30 to 13:30. This will give you an opportunity to bring your child into school and allow them to visit the classroom, meet their teacher and allow them to get acquainted with being back in school. This is something that has occurred over the last few years at ISG Jubail, with parents, children, and teachers consistently finding this time to be beneficial. As this is a drop in session between 11:30 to 13:30, you can pop in with your child anytime between these hours to meet and greet for a short while, explore and get your child comfortable. Throughout the whole of the ‘meet and greet’ session parents should stay with their child before returning home together.
For new parents not already connected, when visiting your child’s KG1 or KG2 Homeroom teacher, you will also be given a sign-up sheet for our communication platform in the Elementary school, Class Dojo. For those who have smartphones, please ensure that you have downloaded the app already prior to coming in, so your child can be added in during the ‘meet and greet’ session.
We look forward to the new school year ahead and transitioning your child into their new school year.
